Marmorkrebs are interesting partly because of their parthenogenesis. But if the idea of a on sex species seems strange when it's a female, you ain't seen nothin' yet. The always entertaining Olivia Judson has a column up in the New York Times about a different kind of parthenogenesis: the kind where only the males' genes get into the next generation.
